All residents of Caddo County can get a library card. You can browse and read magazines without a library card. You do need a card to use the computers and to check out books, audios and movies.

How to Get a Library Card

Library cards are free to residents of Caddo County and all Apache addresses.

Fill out an application at the circulation desk and provide proof of residency. Valid forms of identification include a driver’s license, voter ID, tax statement, or current bill showing current address. Parents must apply on behalf of children. Children are any library user who has not reached his or her 18th birthday.

All fines must be paid before library cards will be issued.

Your library card will be active for you the same day that you sign up for one.

Borrowing Books and Materials

The check-out period for all materials is two (2) weeks.

Overdue books, videos and materials are fined $.05 per day per item per day.  Persons with overdue items, fines, and/or damages will not be permitted to check out library materials or use the public use computers until the amount owed is paid.

Damages to or loss of library materials: if the item is completely destroyed or unusable, the replacement cost will be charged. If materials are heavily damaged, one-half the replacement cost will be charged. If materials are slightly damaged, one-fourth the replacement cost, or a minimum of $2.50 will be charged. If a book is designated lost, the replacement cost will be charged.
